1998 World Record Breaker NSSR - looking for more info.
Posted by Homstad23 on Thursday, August 29, 2013 6:34 PM

Hi, my name is Amy Homstad.  I broke a world record in 1998 on a 670 MXZ SKI-DOO.  I broke it at 104.727 MPH in the PS 700 stock class.  I did not get to keep the plaque because it was not my sled, I was just the racer.  I only have a print-out from the internet that shows my name and the speed for proof.  That site is now deleted.  Does anyone know how to find that information on-line or somewhere else anymore?  My print-out is not that nice and it is a great accomplishment, however, I broke my back a little later and had to quit racing.  Thanks for any advice.

Amy, Go on to www.racenssr.com and go into race forum and put your post on there. You might have to sign up to post on there, but its free. This will probably be your best shot at finding your info. speednutt (Nate) use to own nssr and changed the name to cmsa, he then sold it to machspeed (Ron) who now owns and re-acquired the nssr name. Good Luck!!

I will check with my dad, NSSR came out with a paper around that time and I will see if anything is in there. You can contact Ron or Stacy or Nate Lantto might be a better bet. I believe they got all the info when it was acquired from Meg

Wow, thanks.  It was the first time racing, and due to my injury, I didn't get to learn too much about all the different names that you gave me.  I am hoping to get back into racing some day however.  Thanks again.

Thanks, anything you can find will really help.  I only raced in the NSSR that one time.  It was actually my first race.  Then I had an accident after racing in 3 other smaller races.
