National Straightline Snowmobile Racing has released the 2010 ice snowmobiling race schedule.

The series is based on a 1000 foot ice track with 2000 plus feet of shutdown that is professionally shaved and uses a timing system just like NHRA for their National Series.

Two tracks are prepared for each race, one for professional racers and one for amateur racers.

World record speeds are required to be backed up with another run the same day that is within 2% of the other speed obtained. Rules are enforced for fuel and class structure and the NSSR Tech Officials usually have several sleds in the impound area for complete engine tear down and review.

Jan. 16:Annadale, Minn.
Jan. 30: Menomonie, Wis.
Feb. 13: Forest Lake, Wis.
Feb. 27: Chetek, Wis.
