Editor's Note: Here is an update on Tabitha Bode, the racing teen friend of the magazine seen in January 2012 racing issue. She's on her way up with two podium finishes.
" I just wanted to send a quick update to let you know how the past weekend went.  We headed down to Jefferson, WI. For my second regional race, and what an awesome weekend it was!  It was a double header meaning I had to race on Saturday and Sunday.  Well on Saturday, I was really excited to race because I loved the track and wanted to impress everybody that was there.  I ended up taking a 3rd in my first heat, a 4th in my second heat and then finished 2nd in the finals.  I was so stoked to finish so well especially after not doing so well in my second heat.

On Sunday, I went to the track and just had the feeling I was going to do well.  After some really good practice laps, I ended up taking a 2nd in my first heat and 3rd in my second heat.  In the final I got holeshot and battled the entire race with the 3rd and 4th place riders, and even getting my hand run over I ended up placing 2nd.  That final was the best race I've ran all year and was the most intense .
My next race is next week in Plymouth, WI. For another regional race and I'm looking forward to racing again.  However, due to the swelling on my hand, I might not be racing in Plymouth and just preparing for my next national race at the Silverdome in Pontiac, MI.  If that is the case I will keep you informed. Thanks for your support. " - Tabitha Bode , #503
