This last week the second race in the Aeroquip sponsored Outlaw sled race series was held at US 131 Motorsports Park in Martin, Michigan. Seven of the worlds most advanced drag racing sleds entered to compete on the 1/4-mile asphalt track. Due to technical snafus 2 sleds were unable to make it into the ladder, so the group was reduced to 5. Doug Fisher (Fish Racing/Bellman Oil), Tyler Fisher (Fish Racing/Bellman Oil), Scott Krueger, Jeff Kerridge (Kenneth Smith Inc./Mott Motorsports) and Chris Elder (Elder Racing/Bellman Oil) were the drivers and Tyler Fisher had the quickest first run with an ET of 6.961 seconds (at 142.03mph) beating out Scott Krueger (Eaton Corporation) in the first round. Jeff Kerridge pulled an impressive ET of 7.075 seconds and edge out Chris Elder while Doug Fisher had a bye, but still posted a fast run of 147.60 mph with an ET of 7.102 seconds.

The best race of the afternoon was between Doug and Tyler Fisher in the second round. Doug won with an ET of 6.760 seconds at 153.12mph, but Tyler was quite literally right on his heels with an ET of 6.841 seconds at 146.24 seconds.  Kerridge got a bye to the final where he met Doug Fisher, who won again with an ET of 6.7298 seconds at 149.62 mph. Unfortunately Kerridge rolled through the lights and was disqualified.

It was a great day of racing and the next series race happens in a month so stay tuned for more racing updates on this new Outlaw sled series!
