    ESPN scraps Best Trick Snowmobile Competition

    After scratching snowmobile freestyle demonstrations from Tignes, France's X-Games, ESPN has canceled next years Best Trick Competition in Aspen, Colo.

    ESPN told the Associated Press it was a move the network was considering before Caleb Moore's death in Aspen this year, according to CBS Denver.

    Caleb Moore, 25-years old from Krum, Texas, died from complications after his snowmobile rolled over him after a backflip went wrong during the freestyle competition.

    ESPN spokesman Danny Chi told AP the review of other snowmobile freestyle continues.

    “We will focus on motor sports disciplines that engage athletes who consistently compete in multiple global competitions reflective of the global reach of X Games,” Chi wrote in the email to AP.

    Summer X Games will, also, eliminate best trick but in their Moto X competition.
