BRP has introduced two new adjustable systems that are designed to improve handling in select Ski-Doo snowmobiles. For trail sleds with rMotion suspension, a remote coupling block adjuster gives riders on-the-fly handling adjustment. For deep-snow sleds with tMotion or cMotion suspensions, BRP has upgraded its adjustable limiter strap into a remotely controlled system. Here's a little bit more about both adjustment systems:
Remote Coupler Block Adjuster
This system (product #860201498) allows Ski-Doo snowmobiles equipped with rMotion rear suspension to be quickly and easily changed back and forth between uncoupled and coupled settings without getting off the machine – just twist the handlebar grip-mounted switch - even while you're moving. A coupled setting doesn’t allow as much rear weight transfer, which keeps the skis planted for more positive steering. Conversely, an uncoupled suspension allows more rearward weight transfer, offering lighter steering while letting riders lift their skis over bumps. Those who like to ride on and off trail will also benefit, as the uncoupled position works better in deep snow.
The system works via a cable running down from the handlebar-mounted twist grip to the slide rail, where the rubber cushions that couple front and rear arms are replaced by a mechanism that lifts or lowers cushions to achieve the desired setting.
The kit is available for all 2012-2018 sled models with rMotion suspensions.

Remote Limiter Strap Adjuster
Two years ago, BRP introduced the adjustable limiter strap for tMotion rear suspensions as a quick, easy way to adjust deep snow handling on Summit and Freeride snowmobiles. This year, the concept has evolved into a remotely controlled system (product #860201496) for even easier operation. Riders can now quickly adjust their ride between a playfully light and agile setup and a more connected setup, where the track approach angle gets much more gradual and the skis don’t lift as easily. A dial-like switch is mounted on the handlebar riser, so riders can now change positions by twisting this knob, rather than reaching down by their feet to flip a lever.
The kit should also prove popular with the crossover crowd, as it also fits the new cMotion rear suspension on the 2018 Backcountry models. A rider can easily move the strap to the shorter position for more positive steering on the trail, or to the longer position for better handling in off-trail deep snow.
Adjustment range is equivalent to two holes on a conventional limiter strap (1.3 in.), with two settings to choose from: holes three (stock position) to five, or two to four.
The kit is available for all 2013-2018 sled models with tMotion and cMotion suspensions.
Cost: $269.99 US / $329.99 CA
