Polaris announced the recall of 2017 Polaris RMK, Pro-RMK, and SKS snowmobiles sold at Polaris dealers nationwide from May 2016 through March 2017.

The recall involves a weld on the steering post that can separate, resulting in loss of steering control and posing a crash hazard. So far Polaris has received 13 reports of a steering post weld separation, but no injuries have been reported.

Consumers with vehicles impacted by the recall should stop using their snowmobile immediately and contact Polaris (800-765-2747) to schedule a free repair. Polaris is contacting all known purchasers directly.

For more information visit and click "Product Safety Recalls" at the bottom of the page. You can also check for recalled vehicles by VIN using Polaris' Product Safety Recall webpage. VINs are located on the right side of the tunnel.
