2018 Camso DTS 129 snow bike dirt conversion system kitCamso just released its 2018 iteration of the DTS 129, a dirt-to-snow bike conversion system. The snow bike kit was originally introduced last year, and after receiving feedback from riders, Camso has made improvements in responsiveness, handling and overall performance with the MY18 version.

“Camso pushed the ride further this year with a new suspension in this 2018 model," said Colton Sturm, snowmobile and motocross athlete. "You notice it instantly when running over logs, stumps or hitting hard into uneven terrain. The handling has also improved, with more responsive steering on those awkward sidehills. The new system – overall, it’s just fluid all the way through.”

Featuring Camso’s unique single-rail suspension technology, which was introduced in 2017, the newest DTS 129 more closely matches the behavior of a dirt bike on dirt. The improvements to the 2018 model include:

    • A new 8-inch wheel track tensioner that provides a 2hp efficiency gain and better low RPM traction control
    • New shock calibration for better compression and rebound in rough trail conditions
    • Aluminum side rail reinforcement, reducing weight while providing better rail support
    • An adjustable limiter cable that allows riders to change the ski pressure
    • New ski runners for improved stability in rough conditions and a better side grip feel in deep snow
    • A new brake rotor and pad design for consistent braking and less ice build-up

Also new to the Camso lineup this year is a useful snow bike accessory: a functional wheel kit that allows for easy transport of your completely converted snow bike from the garage to the trailer. A special race track conversion kit is also available.

“We actively engage with riders and customers to develop innovative solutions to exceed the expectations of powersports enthusiasts and professionals,” says Bruce Dashnaw, Sales & Marketing Director – Powersports at Camso. “We listened to the market and have delivered improvements that matter to those who want to ride their dirt bike year-round on all types of terrain.”

The 2018 Camso DTS 129 will be available throughout Camso’s established network of powersports dealers and distributors on Sept. 11, 2017. Those attending Hay Days in North Branch, Minn. (Sept. 9-10), will get to take a sneak peek at the new products and talk with Camso representatives at booth AD0-AD1.
