ERX Motor Park named venue for February Cor PowerSports event

Over the past six years running the Cor PowerSports series, their focus has been to put together some great races that allow people to come together, have fun and make lifelong memories.

Two years ago, they started the Midwest Extreme Snowmobile Challenge (MESC) and put on cross country, Hillclimb, and Hillcross races at ski hills in Minnesota and Michigan. They talked with many of their riders and fans and they love how these events are spectator friendly. Typically in cross country racing you’ll wait for your favorite rider to come through, then after 10 seconds he’s gone.

Cor PowerSports has spent the past year working on finding the right venue to provide a super spectator-friendly environment but still have more of the classic cross country feel. Over the past two months and numerous site evaluations, they are extremely excited to announce they have secured the perfect venue: rich in race history, over 400 acres for an 8-10 mile course, spectator visibility, and best thing yet it is less than five miles from a large municipality.

Where could an event venue like this be?
    ERX Motor Park!!
Race event date is Feb 17-18, 2018!!
ERX is an all-season motorsports facility located in Elk River, MN, right off US Highway 169.

The 8-10 mile course which will include the snocross track area (track will be setup for XC), the TORC track, woods, fields and many other types of terrain but that is just the race course! There will also be a Saturday night chapel open to racers, crew and fans.

The race is open to anyone that would like to compete, as long as you have the required safety gear, there will be a class for you. Vintage II class for example is open to 2003 model year and older sleds. Also for this event we will offer two “Snocross Sled” specific classes. Snocross sleds run 1.75 lug tracks and smaller fuel cells compared to cross country prepped sleds so for this event we will run two classes that will race 16-20 miles. This gives those riders a place to give cross country a try without spending thousands of dollars converting their snocross specific sled. We also will be offering a SNOWBIKE class. These guys will run the same course as the sleds!!

Spectator tickets will be $10 for one day, $15 for two days and kids 8 years old and under get in for free with a paid adult

Full event details will be out in the next few weeks, watch their website and social media for more race info on this event as well as their full 2018 race series at events:
