Many of you may remember the article and postings we have done regarding RND Innovators and their rear axle driven sled.  This is a project we have kept our eyes on for some time and now engineer and owner Shawn Watling has come up with a new driver for an all new Ice Oval Race sled. Shawn says, "the design intent for this 12 tooth UHMW driver is to handle the extremely high cornering forces developed by my new Rear drive Ice Oval race sled . . . RAD Racer!  At 1.68 lbs. it's fairly lightweight for it's size.  A stock REV XP driver is 8 tooth, 7.125" dia. @ 1.1 lbs. but does not have near the lateral force strength of this driver. Obviously for a front drive sled this is not a requirement." 

We are waiting in anticipation to see how this sled works on the ice ovals and stay tuned to AmSnow for more updates on this RADical sled.
