It was a brisk Saturday morning in Eagle Bay, N.Y. for the Big Moose Shootout. With temps hovering near 20-below we all new it was going to be cold day on the ice. There were 55 sleds registered to run in the shootout. With six classes to run, they started with the big Outlaw class. Other classes included Lake Racer, Snow Drag, 800cc Stock, Stock Turbo and Mod Stock Turbo.

Congratulations goes out to the winners of each class. Ted Jennetty Racing took top honors in the Outlaw Class with their 2003 Yamaha RX1, Anthony Bosco of Land N Sea racing took the Lake Racer title on their 2011 Ski-Doo Renegade Turbo, Snow (Run what you brung) went to Joe Rampulla on his Arctic Adventures 2012 Arctic Cat XF Big Turbo, Doug Phelps of Arctic Adventures took the Stock Turbo class with his 2012 Arctic Cat XF Turbo and Andrew Rampulla with Arctic Adventures took Mod-Stock Turbo with his 2013 Arctic Cat RR Turbo. Arctic Adventures were the big winners winning four out of the six classes.

Andrew Rampulla was the man in charge of the event and did a great job with the organization. The Big Moose Inn hosted the event and did an excellent job with providing a place for spectators to get warm and get something to eat.

Andrew will be holding another shootout on Feb. 28 2015.
