What Do Snowmobilers Do in the Summer?

Posted 2 months ago by mboncher
For most snowmobilers, Chris Burandt excluded, there are at least four to eight months a year where we have to figure out something else to do with our free time. So what do people do? Well, we all love statistics, and AmSnow does a lot of surveying to find out more about our readers to best satisfy your needs. You might be thinking that most snowmobilers turn to ATVs or motorcycles in the summer. However, the majority of our readers are boaters in the off-season. Statistically speaking, 52% of...

Posted 4 months ago by Emily Hare
Vintage snowmobile enthusiasts are highly dedicated. They are a hardy bunch of folks that bear weather on both ends of the extremes to attend a good show. Some will drive hours and hours over thousands miles to attend a swap meet, hoping to find that vintage treasure. Weather reports be damned; they will make it! This past Memorial Day weekend, a changing “touch-and-go” weather forecast was no reason to miss the “Classic Sled Roundup” hosted by the Snowmobile Hall of Fam...

RACE RECAP: Jackson Hole World Championship Hillclimbs

Posted 6 months ago by Emily Hare
The 41st Annual World Championship Hillclimbs in Jackson Hole, Wyo., put on by the Jackson Hole Snow Devils, will go down as one of the most expensive – if not THE most expensive – ever! For the racers, this was an awfully costly year. The four-day event is never without its typical sled carnage, and the 45-degree slope has scrapped more than its fair share of sleds over the years. But during this past weekend, it is safe to say the mountain was a monster. I have been photographing...
