LEADERS MARINE US NATIONALS GRASS DRAGS

US 131 MOTORSPORTS PARK – MARTIN, MICHIGAN

    OCTOBER 7, 8, 9, 2005

This will be sanctioned by PSGDRA an ISR sanction body. This will be the second snowmobile grass & snowmobile asphalt drag racing event held at US 131 Motorsports Park this year. This will be a Snowmobile Grass Drag and Snowmobile Asphalt Drag Race put on by PSGDRA & NSDRA in a combined effort.  Along with the Grass & Asphalt Drags there will be vendor displays and a large swap meet area. All vendors and swap meet persons should contact PSGDRA for getting the best spots.

We will be offering a three day pass for this event for $25.00 per person. This will get you into the grass and asphalt drags both for the weekend. Gate admission for Martin is $10.00 per day.  Free parking and free camping for racers.  First come first served and you drop your ramp door down onto blacktop to unload your sleds to cart them on black top to the hot pits. (This is for the grass drags!!) Hot pit fees are $5.00 and keep everyone out of the hot pits that should not be in the hot pits. PSGDRA uses a spec fuel to control the event to make it even for everyone and keep out the cancer causing agents. PSGDRA uses a scale for all classes and we have a top notch tech department to keep the racing fair.

Friday gates open at 2:00 p.m.  Saturday & Sunday gates open at 8:00 a.m.

Friday registration is open from 3:00 p.m. to 7 p.m.  Open testing from 5:00 p.m. until dusk on Friday. Registration on Saturday & Sunday is from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Racing starts at 12:00 noon.

PSGDRA registration fees were voted on by the members at our yearly meeting and then brought up again during one of our current races. It was agreed upon by the racers to keep our fees where they were at and not raise them. Our entry fees remain the same to make it affordable to enter more classes. This keeps the 100% payback a little smaller but, it also means that you don’t have to spend as much to have fun.

This is a 100% payback event for all classes including trail stock and improved trail stock.

Our bonus money is at $10,000.00 and growing and will be broken up over the Pro classes.

Thanks to our generous sponsors:  Leaders Marine, Torco Fuels, Stud Boy Studs, Camoplast, Parts Unlimited, Wahl Brothers, Micro Belmont, Vision Auto Glass, Millennium Technologies, AIS Remanufacturing Corporation, Fifelski Buildings, Shawmut Hills Sales

We will also have the following items from our generous sponsors to add to our classes.

At the first Martin Race I was under the understanding that the two races were to be combined for an overall points champion.  Has this changed or did I misunderstand?  I thought that the bonus money would go to the person that finished the best between the two races?

    Thanks, Jeff
