We would have showed up for your race, but we heard the track was rough. Maybe next year.

Jack Henricks took top speed at 152.2 mph.   Curtis Johnson came in second with 145 mph.   I'll post all results on this thread this evening for you.   There were 133 participants, but the vast majority ran the $5 fun runs.    On Friday, Matt Quigley ran 106 mph on 660' on snow.   I thought that was pretty impressive for that distance on snow.

Sorry to hear that!   I had two big open mod racers run it early in the week. (140 mph) They gave it the two thumbs up.  We shaved every morning for a week plus we flooded the 1000'.  I know we had the best track we've put out there to date.   My spin on the 2008 track conditions goes like this.  (1)We didn't have virgin ice, the ice was the frozen slush from earlier in the winter shaved smooth.   I know it was softer than good solid virgin ice.   I presume that's why we didn't see 160 mph this year. (2)As soon as we build the track, the outlaws are on it every day and night with trail studs.    That's why we kept shaving every morning.    I don't mind that they run the track, the outlaws bring in a lot of revenue to town that week.   It be nice if they figured out not to spin their track though.   We normally run two lanes to give the speed tracks a nice smooth lane.     Maybe I need to change the format and keep the fun runs off the track until the afternoon.   That way the lay downs and speed tracks could have the track to themselvs for a few hours after it's just been shaved.  We're going to keep doing this.  Next year we'll keep the thousand feet, I'm sure I can get 1800' of run out. Anybody have a Zamboni they can lend out?  LOL

We ran that a week before at a CMSA event. Theres more in it, we have run faster than that. We are still fighting some fuel issues.
