Was a the perfect March day for the event and the oneida lake guys to show there muscle, and the man was Stu Sherlock with his ZR 1220 winning the only money class and the King of the mountain, In the open class it was a Mountain cat 1200 triple beat Jeff Sherlock on Dave Dilenbecks F10 with nitrous, in the 1000 mod class it was lil Mike on his Edge 1000 beating the Kirsh with his F1000, in 900 mod Samatha Hogg took RU on her dads F860 stroker, And in the Stock 700, 800, 900 classes my F7 Fighter pilot with Brideport bomber 1000 driving took the wins with Kurt Tcatbu Allen Runner upping in the 800 stock class, and my F7 also took Runner Up in 1000 stock to Kirsh on there other F1000.  It was a great day to end the season, hanging with the entire Sherlock Family, Wilber, Deeder, Mike B, North Shore boys, Dillenbeck and everyone else.  And anybody who had whinning about my F7 is more than welcome to get some money together and bring it up and we can take the motor apart to let everyone see how stock it is

Kirish I know it was a half a tank of gas was used up, what was funny was when they were teching the sleds the tech guy said that the stock classes were ruled by polaris last year, so I went on to tell him that this year wasnt a good year to own a polaris and he told me at the end of the day my F7 beat the polaris that won last year

I had to run that sled in the 2nd rd of 700 stock and it ran pretty good, but it is hard to compare the newer suspensions to those of the older style sleds on the bumps of the mountain

First of all thanks to ski togg and the club to put this race  on. Had a lot of fun, great job!

I just wish that people would be a little more honest in the entries. Poeple travel hours away and spend a small fortune to set up there sleds, then have to run against something that is bigger than what your entry class is. To bad poeple feel good about doing it, dont know how it can make you feel good to have a sled 100 or more cc on the guys that you are racing against. What do ya do?  do the same and become one of them? *** about it? no body wants to hear it, or the last result dont go, If this starts to happen there wont be a race. competition is always fun and thats what we do it for, but ya cant go to a gun fight with a knife!

i agree with you 200% i know of abunch of sleds not racing where they belong, thats y after my f7 was done racing and everybody was complaining that it was a big bore and all different things i brought the sled down to the tech guy and told him to end all the argument i want him to check everything so everybody knows that my f7 is the real deal

i dont know all the truth of the situation and it has nothing to do with your sled in particular because there were alot of questionable sleds but i do know u never know its stock till u see inside and just cause a tech guy says ya looks stock doesnt mean all that much

Yep its always about the money, thats why they should keep it fair so people keep coming back, they do make enough money to have some kind of tech. There is also enuogh time to do a tech before during and after the race, dont get me wrong I love racing and going to these hill climbs but they will soon die out if things are not adressed, there are several that wont go back. It is a fund rasier for thier club and so I understand the no pay back but if it is going to grow it must be kept under control.

i completely agree, at minimum it takes 5 minutes to bore and stroke a sled if the club choses not to pay back thats fine but atleast make it some what fair for those that are trying to support u and if not i guess be prepared to lose alot of racers i mean it takes a real racer to run an 800 in the 600 class or whatever and be proud of it

people complain sled racing as a whole is dieing well who is gonna keep coming out if they can go drop thousands in a *** mod, spend time to get it clutched, and running good just to go out and lose in one pass to a guy who has ya by **hp and ***cc's and only beet ya cause he is too lazy to make a sled of the equal class run decent i race on the ice and grass and dont have any prob spending money and time getting to hill climbs and snow drags but i hate to lose just cause im not cheating like the next guy

I agree with you on this, Poeple have always done this. Poeple have been talking about it but nothing has been done. No body that I know likes to pay 25.00 to enter the 600 class and run against a 800 even knowing there is no payback, drive 2-3 hours 100.00 in fuel to get there and back 20.00 race fuel, and worked your to get your sled running good, then line up with that no good !*& that just put the 800 in . Now thats what I call FUN!!!!!!

There was a guy spouting off at togg about putting $1000 up saying that mine wasnt stock so I went down and found him and told him that I would match his 1000 and then he droped the whole thing he had no balls just want to run his mouth.  My F7 is no faster than Tcatbyu Kurt Allens F7 they were together in the 800 final and Kurt had a traction problem in 700 class or I would bet they would have been together in the 700 final also

your airforce cat was awesome, kinda like that sabercat that cleaned house in the mods last go around!! Kurt has lots of time on his wife's kitty as well!

There's always going to be people bending the rules to get an advantage, but hey, its a day of entertainment, everyone had fun and at the minimum, it only cost $25.

The race in feb i had my triple piped, motor all done up, 136" 96 XLT SP running against one of those wak pak sleds(crazy Indifferent [:|]), wasn't much of a race for 115hp vs 145-150hp, but hey, I made it to the second round, so no complaints.  We've gone as a group 3 times now with atleast 4 sleds every time, and this was the first time the majority made it to the second round, we're gettin the hang of it.  I'll be back next time around

when in doubt throttle it out

Good point Pete it would be fine if they just wanted 1 class, but these are cc designed classes. Its pretty simple, stock and mod

Vince in O2 or 03 Jamie and I went with my 700 that he did some clutching on and I won 3 classes that day and heard simialar bs in the pits.  Its not always the fastest sled that wins some time the race is won in the first 300 ft, thats how it was for me.  There will always be cheaters, whiners, losers, and winners, and everyone has had there chance to be all of them.  If you didnt cheat and won your a winner, if you lose and whine your a whiner,   if you cheat to win your a cheater and a loser.

Dave I agree with you all the way you have seen my F7 run I took some cluth weight away from it to get the RPMs up and let it transfer more and at 300 it was ahead by a minunim of 3 sleds on everybody and long tracks would launch with it but and the other end due to there heavy tracks mine would outrun it, I guess next time all this guys will call and get themselves clutch kits

These events are getting a strong turn out. The club is making money and people are having fun. It's a long day/night to get thru all those cc classes. Teching each winning sled would take even longer. All I can say is have fun and enjoy the $25 dollar entertainment.
