We have had a great deal of interest from some very well respected racers and teams, from New York state, all the way up to Prince Edward Island. None the less, we will just have to wait and see who Sunday brings. No matter who show's up, come on out and support this event. The group of people that have organized this event have put in a great deal of time and effort, in order to make it possible. Their focus is the future of snowmobile drag racing in the State of Maine. Being the newest sanctioning body and facility in the Northeast, The Maine Snowmobile Drag Racing Association and The Medway Sno Rovers need your support. Come to the races and help us take it too the next level. See you on Sunday!

The two day racing weekend was completed on Sunday February 14th, 2010 with the MSDRA Championships and the EBSR sponsors purse and entry fee paybacks which provided over $7000.00 in cash payouts. Race teams came from as far away as St.George, Quebec Canada and as near as the Medway area. The 660ft drag race had a top speed of the day of 125.71mph. The two day event was considered an overwhelming success by the spectators, race teams, and members of the MSDRA and EBSR. Special thanks were given to the high quality of racing and special dedication of all the many volunteers.

Just like to thank Matt Robertson for piloting the prostocks to 3 wins.  Also nice job to Bman and Charlie on your ps800 and imp1000 wins  You guys really have the sleds tuned up for Vermont.  I believe that a 5.44 is a new improved 1000 world record as well as our ps700 went a 5.60 in the final and as fast as a 5.47 in earlier rounds.

Thanks to all that showed up and made our new event such a success. We were very impressed with the quality of sleds and teams that came to shoot it out. The trigger men(and women)were on their game and hats off to those who won. Near perfect lights took out faster sleds on both days. We hope all were satisfied with how the races were run and that you will tell your fellow racer's about our organization/event, so we can make next years event, twice as successful as it was this year. See you at Lake Morey!

i find it very hard to believe the 1000 improved time of 5.44!!!!!!!!!!  for one the mph does not match the et.  i would like to see the 60 foot time.   something is very wrong if this is the real time.  no disrespect to  charlie  but the last i knew he was using a older hooper motor with a 70 mm strock.   charlie runs very good. but this is not where charlie runs.   i have seen charlie run 5.6ssss and 5.7ssss.   which is fast.

i know that DAVE LABOMBARD has the world record in 1000 improved on ice.   this sled has been on the race circuit for years.  people have seen it get faster and faster.   but u didnt see it go from 5.7ssss to 5.4ssss   either.    dave has one of the best 1000 improved motors available and can tune a sled.  this sled runss 5.6sss and 5.5sss  consistently.  the record is 5.53  set last year in canada at the canada/usa challange.    dave runs  117-119mph.  long way from 114mph.

AGAIN I AM NOT PUTTING CHARLIE DOWN  I AM JUST STATING SOME FACTS.  I KNOW HOW HARD DAVE HAS WORKED TO GET WHERE HE IS.  AND I KNOW A LOT OF PEOPLE HAVE RESPECT FOR THIS MAN.   DRAG RACING ON ICE THIS YEAR HAS REALLY TURNED AROUND   HOW COME THERE IS SO MONY WORLD RECORDS    THATS WHAT I WANT TO KNOW.   OVER NITE SLEDS DIDNT GET FASTER.  AND THIS MUCH FASTER?   ALL THESE WORLD RECORD SLEDS NEED TO GO TO THE GOLDEN CHILD RACE AND RUN THESE SO CALLED WORLD RECORDS.

ALL DO RESPECT  GOOD JOB CHARLIE  IF THE SLED IS TRUELY RUNNING THIS FAST THEN HATS OFF TO YOU.    IF YOU ARE EVEN RUNNING CLOSE TO THESE TIMES IT SHOULD BE A GOOD RACE IN VT.    SEE YOU THERE       CHRIS CASTINE     TEAM OUTLAW RACING.
