This is a work in progress, but VERY exciting!
Here's what we have so far on the 660' "Turbo Time" Cat trail turbo shootout which will take place at the AmSnow/Dynotech New York Shootout in Woodgate, NY on Dec 7. This is a one at a time single pass competition using the professional timing system provided by Pete Webb. Each tuner company will be allowed one sled to run.Separate awards will be handed out for fastest MPH in 660' and quickest ET, measured separatelyThere will be either 2 or 3 runs per sled, likely dependent on weather and other factors. Jim Czekala of Dynotech, Mark Boncher and Mark Savage at American Snowmobiler, wanted to create a fun new opportunity to get public exposure and national coverage. We all want to absolutey pack the Otter Lake Fish and Game Club this year! Here's the rules so far for the Turbo Time Shootout:Stock turbocharger with no internal modsNo N2ONo speed tracks--1" lugs minimumAny studsStock clutchesno more than 2" lower than stock ride heighttrail exhaust, some sort of mufflerstock hood, seat and fuel tank.no air filter outside of hood.800 lb sled and driver minimum before each pass (Tom Ferry-Arctic Adventures is bringing scales) Any gasoline. For additional participation prerequisites and questions or comments, please call Jim's cel phone 585-993-2777, or Mark Boncher at 262-798-6453, mboncher@amsnow.com

10 day's away! Updates please!
So far we have commitments from D&D, Turbo Dynamics, JD Powersports and Bikeman Performance to bring Turbo Time sleds.
Make sure the Oneida & New England crews understand this is "Turbo time", not "T-shirt time".
Strong clubs build great trail systems
We don't always win, we ALWAYS learn! If you're afraid to lose, you're already lost.
We're also planning to run violently powerful unlimited HillDrag sleds including D&D's Magic Turbo, D&D's "upgraded" stock turbo, Aaron Excell's Nytro FPP turbo, HTG Rob Schooping with a 4cyl 400hp twostroke (all motor class), and the legendary Koz bros (who are great fun to deal with) with their 901 Cat 2 stroke D&D/ Boondocker turbo.
Oh jesus, you had to go and call them legendary??????

Come on Mike, this site is FULL of legends......
Sounds like the shoot-out of old! Will the boys from D&D beat the OSP/Burke record of 129mph? Will Savannah from White Lake Inn look as good as she did last year? Will Roy drive a Turbo or just walk around like a movie star? Will Hills and Wilbur actually buy a drink this year? Looks to be a great weekend!
Looks like a grass drag this year, what models of stock sleds will be running ?
Here's the plan.
*8AM gates open.
* Box stock sleds run 1320' as soon as the all the cars in line are in and parked typically 10AM.
30 minute break for dealers to do dealer prep to the box stock sleds. we used to run mod sleds during dealer prep time, but dealers got hosed with difficult traction after they had to deal with chizeled up clay slarting line with their carbide trail studs. And the club wouldn't mind selling a few more bowls of excellent chili during break
*Dealer prepped stock sleds run next. Two passes each 1320'
*Trail mod sleds run next, 660'. Trail carbides and trail legal sleds demo'd by aftermarket partners of AmSnow.
*Turbo Time sleds follow, Bikeman, D&D, JD Powersports, and Turbo Dynamics each have stock turbo sleds prepared to run two passes to 660'.
*Unlimited Hilldrag sleds are last, classified as 4stroke power adder, 2stroke power adder, all motor, 500'
*Final 1320 passes by Supercharged Nytro vs F1100 turbo bone stockers, but with boost turned up on both.
*Banquet/ Awards ceremony follow at Kratzy's near Booneville. Each participant gets two tickets per sled, some extras are available from Tom Smith $20 each.
