    20th Salisbury Ridgerunners Winter Shootout
Posted by Tommy@salisbury on Saturday, January 14, 2017 7:04 AM

Hey guys and girls sorry for the absence but it's going down! January 28th and 29th at the Salisbury Ridgerunners at 717 Curtis Rd, Salisbury Center NY 13454. Saturday the 28th will be pro stock and amateur racing along with Dean's Pro Stock 1000 and new this year 800 shootout. 100% pay back in all classes. Looking for 16 sleds for both Shootouts. You only turn 20 once so we got the swamp driver's band finishing off the night in the clubhouse.

Sunday will be all vintage day with Vintage Stock and mod classes and we'll be enjoying Bienkowski's BBQ from 1pm till gone!!

Mother nature still isn't playing fare this year but we got it and it's gonna be faster than last year! This is an ice track same as last year and the rules are still the same for this race... Any questions call Tommy at 315-868-3335 or e mail at tstack450@gmail.com

Picked up more sponsorship today, if we have the 16 sleds for the 1000 and 16 for the 800 with the $100 sponsorship on each class and $150 entry fee that will put us at $2500 /class payout. Spent 14hrs on the track last night making sure the track last through this warm weather and it looks great! Anyone who wants to pre register for the Shootout classes can do so by calling or e mailing me at 315-868-3335 or tstack450@gmail.com! 2 more weeks!! Hope to see everyone there!

Unfortunately mother nature has been extremely stubborn this year so we were not able to build ice like we wanted. We have been working very hard though to build as much natural ice as possible and has worked well. We will be setting the track tonight as the temperatures are going back below freezing so as of now the track will be ice from the start through the first hundred feet where it will taper into hard pack. The hard pack is as hard as the ice just doesn't have that pretty blue color we like. I will post tomorrow to let you guys know where we are at. I assure you we are doing everything possible to give everyone the best racing surface possible for what mother nature has given us to work with. Thank you all for your interest in this race and hope to see you Saturday.

After nearly 24hrs of pushing and dragging we are officially on ice :) the entire 500ft is down to ice then tapered into hard pack in the shut down. Hope to see everyone tomorrow Thanks Tommy
