An idea. Classic pro stock 800
Posted by Dr.Crank on Thursday, March 09, 2017 11:10 AM

not that we need anymore classes.   But what if.   25 yrs or older.   No shaft movement. No stroker cranks  Ome ignition.  Any Ome clutches.  No msd or any kind of launch control.  Any carbs.  The rest would be standard pro stock rules.    Any ideas

oem clutches. No micros. STm hulings ect.  But you could use a Polaris primary on a ski doo with a cat secondary but motor can't be moved

Sounds a lot like the NDRS rules for classic. They only go to 700cc though. It would be really fun to see these classic classes get big!

I would allow any f chassis 93/97 seeing they are the same.  779/809 engines because they look the same on the outside The sport is always going to be a bunch of people in a field looking to have fun. Keep the cost real

I'm basically a vintage drag racer so bare with me on this. I ve had a lot of vintage guys that are interested in such a class however the 25 year rule puts us at 1992 this year however in 1993 I think ski-doo was a 780 cc and Polaris storm was a 744 cc however in 1994 all the major mfg. had 800 cc motors so would it be possible to make the beginning class start with 1994 and older ? Thanks

Need more people to commit and the class is a go for this fall. Weight will be 600lbs with rider like is was before the weight break for twins. What are people's thoughts on fox float shocks. Should they be aloud or coil springs only to keep cost down. Now is the time to commit to make it happen this year.  Post here or pm me. I don't do Facebook ect.

Not all my idea.  I just hate to see costs in any form of racing price people from competing   Keep it real

Yep on that too. I was saying that years ago when there was still a chance to keep a Michigan based multi race circuit alive.  But smarter people than me had it all figured out...  I guess if you can swing to travel out of state constantly then your still racing.
