Index drag racing. What times would help the sport

like Nhras.  8.90 9.90 10.90 heads up. Super classes.  What would work on grass or ice or tar to get different class sleds to race heads up.  Maybe one index class on grass to go with the top 8 or so classes the sport has turned into

Talking to people off line 5.30 for grass was a. good number.  Some trail stock sleds can run that.  Heads up. Safety rules for tech  no scales. Run em

This would be a great idea. Like you stated the only thing that would matter is safety tech. I think a 5.80 or so would be another good index. That could include newer stock 600s to older 800s. Index racing would allow some of the bigger riders to be competitive when they could not by ISR weights for classes. The index racing on asphalt at Amsnow Shootout has gone from 2-3 index classes now they have combined about 5 index numbers and staggered the tree to make one huge class.

Exactly, Index two classes so a 5.60 600cc sled could run a 5.30 800cc sled. I would bring two sleds out of mothballs to run as I am sure others would also. Call it a Top Stock class.
