Support for ATV'ing and snowmobiling was expressed by Wisconsin's Gov. Walker at a surprise appearance at the recent state convention of the Association of Wisconsin Snowmobile Clubs (AWSC). The gov sees these motor sports activities as a resource for bringing tourist dollars to the state, as one measure to help deal with a billion dollar state budget shorfall.
I heard this from people who attended the convention, but couldn't google up any news media reports. It's not surprising that anything remotely positive about Gov. Walker would be ignored by the media. They and the public employee unions are out to hang the guy for his attempts to reign in union control of collective bargaining, as another measure to help deal the budget shortfall.
Maybe American Snowmobiler magazine could get a text of his speech and do an article.
