Drag trim the 340's about 97 hp  10700 rpm ??   440's  Good ones --126-131 hp  ---9800 rpm to 10700 rpm depending on pipes      I think Bill Porter built a 440 W/ special pipes that turned 13K plus,   I heard 138 hp,,, but harmonics Kept taking clutch parts out.  It was freakin fast for a 440 when it all worked.

did i have one; only one built by ski-doo? 440 pistons were too heavy to turn 13000! they had the same crank.

I knew they had higher rev ving 440 Rotaxes in Shifter carts back in the day.  Is this where yours came from ?  I could see where Skidoo might have made them for that application. What pistons were they running in them  & was it the same Sno Pro ignition that the race only sleds came with back in 79 ?

I just bought the last ski doo 440 sno pro piston that the crank shop had. It looks like a Wiseco. Did ski doo make different pistons back in 79 for sno pros? I might just return it and run wiseco. Dean-o

Made close to 90hp at about 11,000 rpm.
