    Thanks for the reply :)  The turbo sled they went through about 12 pistons in the center cylinder before they got it right, and the crank has be welded & such also.  Say's now it runs great and reliable for the past how many years and hundreds of miles.  As for the nitrous sled, the guy has no idea who did the motor work or who put the nitrous on.  I'm just looking at these for radar runs and to have fun with when the friends say they want to race, lol.  Locally there is an open mod vintage class that just started and will have its first race in Feb.  I have to check the rules to see if I would be able to run in that.    Do you know of any good tuners for either on here? 

    As for them possibly being money pits, I have read that all over and the reason I am on here for help to get knowledable on them and to look them over and make sure everything is good to go and also familarize my self with setting them up :)

    Well, you must be talking lake racing, cause I'm unaware of any sanctioned class racing that coming with either one of those power adders would not put you up against much larger cc sleds with the same additions.  Their are a couple of engine builders on here that could help you set up either system but I doubt it would be for free.  I would not even attempt it unless you have a excellent crank/rods/bearings/case & the crank is welded. KABOOM is all your gonna get in short order. Believe me , Finding a person/shop that actually can prove they know how to install either one of these & tune it to get some life out of your motor will save you more $ in broken parts than it will cost you to use them .  I applaud your gaul but I been their done that & its a deal where you either get it 99% correct or you will be burning through $$ & constantly breaking stuff. Thats no fun & thats what your ultimately after. Might be better to find/buy a good used 1000cc trail modified motor & slam it into a 600/650 chassis. But anyways good luck, MMR

    Hi guys was wondering on some input.  What are your guys thoughts on a 1989 polaris indy 650 with a turbo on it for trail riding & or full blown racing?  Supposedly can change the boost level from 6 psi for trail riding pump gas to 12 psi for racing with race fuel.  Anyone have experience?

    Also what about about a 1987 polaris indy 600 with nitrous setup for drag racing only?  I know where one is for sale that a guy got 7 years ago and never ran the nitrous system.  What things would need to be done to the nitrous system before useing?
