    98 Formula DLX 583

Hello, I am looking for some advice. I have a 98 Ski doo Formula DLX 583.
I went for a ride last winter. Went about 5 miles and was going 60 and sled started to bog as if it had a fouled so I replaced the plugs. Ran like it was starving for fuel for ½ mile couldn’t get over 20 running at 5000 rpm. Then all of a sudden it broke loose and allowed me to go 60 again for few miles and then started acting funny again.
So I had carbs cleaned. Compression is 125 on each cylinder. Went out with sled had same problems.

Everyone has said fuel issue. So this year I decided to replace the carbs. Put an inline fuel filter. Took it out last weekend ran awesome for 5 miles and then started acting up again. I checked for air leaks didn’t find any. Spark plugs were darker brown. A little on the wet side. Took it out again yesterday. Ran awesome for first few miles. Defitnetly runs the best cold. Then when it gets warmer only can go 2 -3 miles before acting funny.
    Any advice?

if you beleive it to be a fuel related issue, then start at the source(fuel pick up in tank)check the in tank supply line and filter, see if it is still atached to the through fitting on the tank and that the filter on the end is clean, next on to the fuel shut of valve, make sure it flows correctly, then on to the fuel pump check diaphrams and pulse line to verify it has good vacume to actuate the pump diaphrams. then to the carbs, cleaned and jetted correctly(on rotary valve motors there is a left and right carb, dont get them backwards or the jetting will be wrong).next is verifying that the motor is good ,compression and leak down and making sure the rotary valve is operating correctly and in time, verify that both rave valves operate correctly and that the exhaust has no unusual restrictions, that should be about all there is to it, good luck

I had a simmilar issue with my 93 Safari, I bought the fuel pump rebuild kit and it didnt work so i bought the new fuel pump and ran a new vaccum line from the engine to the fuel pump. If that model has the vacuum line to fuel pump check and make sure theres no cracks or leaks in that.
