    Track pitch 2.52 vs. 2.86

Hi I was wondering if anyone could tell me what track is faster? I have a ski-doo XS 800 and the current track is a 16x137x1.25 - 2.86 pitch single ply.. Now the issue i have is the track likes to be super tight for high speed runs and when it is tight i get a lot of viberation from the extrovert drivers. What i was wondering is, I'm willing to change the drivers back to 2.52 and buy a new track i never felt track noise in other sleds before 2.86..... my question is would be sled be faster on top end with out the extrovert drivers and a thicker two ply track??? or would the whole thing just be a waste? any info would be great.

I see it this way 1st the track would be a 136 "and depending on what application" narrower either a 14 or a 13.5 so it has capability to have more top end due to less track being 2.52 pitch vs 2.86 137 x 16 Track are you drag racing on Ice? or snow? or trail riding are you just looking to rid the noise you are experiencing?

well i'm mostly trail riding but at very high speeds with long straight logging roads and old rail way beds.. Drag race the odd time but its mostly on good going. as far as the noise i kinda figured the two would go hand and hand but maybe not. When I look at the current drivers on the sled the part that drives out through the windows is wearing so i know the track is touching there. so ya maybe the pitch its self makes no difference but what about the extroverts can i lath them off with out hurting anything?

how big of a lug is the track?? I dont have the answer if milling off the extroverts would help or hurt.. They are there for a reason, could it be the larger 2.86 pitch hole for driving the track??
