    Yamaha 600 triple gas mileage
Posted by Nick on Saturday, March 17, 2018 10:11 AM

Ok to start off I have a 2005 Yamaha Sx Venom 600 triple. I have noticed that my dads V max 700 gets 12-14 miles to a gallon and mine gets 8-9. I don’t understand why this is. I just replaced the nozzles and cleaned the carbs. I always though that a smaller motor would use less gas than a bigger one. Any one have any advice?

Depending on the style of riding a larger engine may not necessarily get better fuel mileage. The larger the motor the less work it has to do to get the sled moving and keep it moving. Where as a smaller motor may have to work harder to do the same thing the larger motor will, thus getting worse fuel mileage. What do you do for riding? Light trails or heavy mountains?
