tried that but goes right from 3000rpm down to 1000rpm and then reverse will not engage. wondering if might be crank seals and what would be the best way to check...

When idling at 3000 try pulling the choke on and see if it calms down. Pilots may be getting clogged up from sitting.

tried spraying starter fluid at pto side seal and ok. sprayed aroung the back of the engine and idle speed increased.. thinking possibly injector o-rings. not  sure if anything else back there could cause this... anyone got any input on this....

pulled engine out to see what was causing the higher idle when spraying starter fluid back there and found hole in side of base not sure what caused the hole. running perfect other than the high idle... it never ends.. also what should be normal running coolant temp on a 2005 rmk 900......
