I love loud exhaust and two strokes no matter how much of a minority either become I will always be riding a loud 2 stroke and I dont really care about state laws my f 250 has straight pipes for about 6 years now and they havent closed the roads yet... "Loud Pipes Save Lives"

Just a side note, I have PSI twin modblaster pipes that I repack every year. If anyone has heard these things you know how loud they are. This year haven't had much snow so I didn't get around to re-packing my pipes. These are obnoxiously loud. I just got back from the U.P. on the annual trip. I let my friend take my sled for a ride and he went off on a run about 3 miles away and back. Holy C-rap was that thing loud and I felt bad that I did not repack the pipes, but to my amazement was the farther away he was it was not my pipes that I could here but the HOWL from the track was the LOUDER. I will repack my pipes to save my own bleeding ears, but there is more to the noise issue than just pipes, I know it is the #1 controllable issue.

    Just my $0.02

The best thing I like is everybody WHINES about snowmobile noise but it's the same person who has straight pipes on his harly or his pickup who also rides on public land or private land and don't get me wrong I like it all and I did install my race can and it is awsome and like the saying says LOUD PIPES SAVES LIVES ride hard and fast!!!!!!!

Yeah, I agree, there is no place on public, or private trails for loud exhaust systems. For anyone to even think just 2db louder is no problem is nuts. Studies in my area have shown the number 1 reason for trail closures are loud sleds.

I have the performance can, don't know if this is the same as the race or not.  I love the sound that comes out of it.  It's not that much louder only 4 decibals (actually measured, not guessing) more than stock and it has a really good sound.

I have a slp on now with a stock pipe but to quiet but nice but I want more BARK but is a mbrp race that much louder than a trail silencer. I have heard that once the packing burns out of either one they are preety close to the same sound but the race is 2 pounds lighter thanks for any info.

Please stay OUT of Pa with your race silencer. We want our trails to stay open. thank you.
