Team Arctic Cat capped Bad River National's semi-pro races with a "massacre" as they clinched both the ISOC's Semi-Pro Super Stock and the Semi-Pro Open, according to Arctic Cat's press release.
The International Series of Champions weekend's events took place at the Bad River Lodge and Casino in Ironwood, Mich.
Dan Ebert, Arctic Cat rider, had an emotional victory in the Semi-Pro Super Stock race because a wrist injury had left him unable to compete in Duluth. The injury caused him to race with a "heavily wrapped" wrist that gave him little movement, according to Arctic Cat.
The ISOC announced in a press release that Ebert nearly led flag to flag in the Super Stock.
"This is unbelievable," said Ebert in ISOC's press release. "My goal was to just make the final this week. I can't believe I won it!"
Ebert grabbed the lead on the first of 15 laps and never let go.
Meanwhile his teammate, Cory Davis, battled hard for their "one-two punch at the finish," according to ISOC.
"Our holeshots and speed are better, handling is class-leading and we go through bumps with a clear advantage," said Mike Kloety, Team Arctic Race Manager, in Arctic Cat's press release.
Completing podium was Polaris rider Ryan Carey, who came in second place in Duluth. Carey held off Tim Tremblay, from Quebec, on the last lap.
Christian Salemark of Sweden, holeshot the pack but at lap-one he got shuffled back to tenth.
Salemark, Arctic Cat's rider, did a 180 degrees turn in the Semi-Pro Open by emerging fifth midway through and then holeshot to the front of the pack at the end.
Early on, Ebert over-shot a berm at the top of the track and losing the lead to Ski-doo pilot Paul Bauerly.
"It was nice to be out front early," said Bauerly in ISOC's press release. "Dan gave me a bit of (a) gift when he went off the track, but Salemark ran a good race and was just too fast for me today."
Salemark posted the fastest laps and came in first, and the top three finishing with Bauerly and Ebert.
"Salemark clearly proved that Swedish snocrossers can win in North America," Arctic Cat's press release said.
Cory Davis, Arctic Cat rider, and Bobby LePage, Polaris rider nabbed the last two of the top five.
