Pat Grzebinski, owner of Michigan Motocross track Baja MX, has teamed up with Soaring Eagle Casino and Resort to host the area’s first Winter Action Sports Event.
The Event will be held at the Soaring Eagle Casino and Resort in Mount Pleasant, Michigan on Valentine’s Day weekend, February 14th and 15th, 2009.
Baja MX Inc. and Soaring Eagle Casino and Resort have decided to host the area’s first Winter Action Sports event. The “Freeze X Fest” event will be a combination of 3 separate venues to be run during the holiday of Valentine’s and President’s Day weekend. Along with a $10,000 AMA Ice Racing Grand Championship and a $3,000 Snowboard Rail Jam, Freestyle Snocross star Jimmy “Blaze” Fejes will be doing two Freestyle shows (one Saturday and one Sunday) along with 2 other Freestyle Snocross athletes.
Jimmy and his friends will be jumping a big ramp-to-snow kicker just feet away from the specatators, as well as a 100 foot snow-to-snow jump in the middle of the ice racing track. Moreover, Yamaha will be on hand with a variety of new 2009 Snowmobiles for guests to hop on and ride around a huge rolling snow course.
“The Baja team is really excited to be part of this event, and come Valentines Day, we know that the athletes and fans will be too”, Grezebinski said.
Along with the 3 featured events, spectators will enjoy: giveaways from event sponsors, an interactive Public Snow Luge and other forms of live entertainment and special guests. All this and more can be seen from Soaring Eagle’s Casino and Resort, just a few hundred feet away.
“Soaring Eagle is happy to have Pat’s experience in providing quality entertainment for racers, families, and fans alike, and we’re honored to host such an exciting event”, said Bill Masterson, Executive Director of Marketing, Sales and Entertainment.
