Christian Salemark joins Christian Bros. Racing |

Team Arctic announced Christian Salemark will continue racing in the ISOC National Tour in 2009, and he will join the Arctic Cat-sponsored team Christian Bros. Racing for the second half of the season.
In just his second season of North American competition, 19-year-old Salemark (of Vendeln, Sweden) has already proven himself a top Semi Pro by winning the Open class final in Ironwood, Mich., as well as winning two Pro class finals in Regional competition. He currently leads the point standings in the ISOC Semi Pro Open class. His results came despite competing as a privateer out of a rented truck and trailer, following the abrupt demise of a team that had hired him for the full season. Short of the logistical support needed to contest the National circuit, Salemark wasn't sure if he'd be able to complete the full season of racing.
At the same time, Christian Bros. Racing of Fertile, Minn. has won nationally with Carly Davis in the Women's class. They have, also, had Pro podium finishes by Garth Kauffman and Brett Turcotte, and Semi Pro podium finishes by Logan Christian.
Christian was sidelined following an injury at Canterbury National causing him to not be back to full-speed until later this season.
"We saw the tough situation that Christian [Salemar] has endured this season, and yet he was still winning races," said Dwight Christian of Christian Bros. Racing. "He's a tremendous talent. When Logan got hurt at Canterbury, it created an opportunity to bring him onto our team."
Salemark will race the #102 Arctic Cat Sno Pro 600 in both Semi Pro Super Stock and Semi Pro Open classes.
The next race for Team Arctic and Christian Bros. Racing is Feb. 6-8, in Brainerd, Minn.
