Snocross park gets dressed up for the summer |
|
The Extreme Motor Park in Elk River, Minnesota has been transformed from a snocross park to a motocross facility for this weekends first race, according to a ERX representative.
Track developers spent six weeks designing the track based on three-dimensional design software and laser earth works technology.
"We wanted to go the extra mile when developing this track," said Todd Plaisted, co-owner of the ERX facility along with Chris Carlson. "I think once riders get out and experience what we have here, word will spread fast and we'll see full gates throughout the summer."
On Saturday, May 2, the first race of the ERX Motocross Series will get underway with gates opening at 8:00am, practice starting at 9:30am and racing at 11:00am.
Entry fees for the motocross series is just $30 for adults for the first class and $20 for each additional class; youth classes are only $25 for the first entry and $20 for each additional. Currently there are approximately 20 designated classes with a level of competition for everyone.
And just like the winter ERX Grassroots Snocross Series; friends, family and fans are encouraged to attend. A family friendly atmosphere, ERX features tasty concessions from the Friendly Buffalo, great viewing of the entire track and affordable fun with spectator gate fees at just $8 with kids 5 and under admitted for free.
