Saskatchewan institutes snowmobile trespassing law

Snowmobilers traveling through Saskatchewan, Canada will need to be on alert this season for "Do Not Trespass" signs due to the recent passing of the Trespass to Property Act, according to the CBC News.

This act makes it an offense for people to enter someone's property if there is a "Do Not Trespass" sign or if a resident tells them to stay off.

In addition, it will be an offense to stay on someone's property after being asked to leave.

Police can issue a snowmobiler a ticket, but the ticket will not show up on a criminal record.
