Iron Dog's main sponsor pulls out |

Tesoro Corporation has announced withdrawing their commitment to be the Title Sponsor for the 2010 race, according to a press release on Iron Dog's website.
"We are disappointed. We have had a great, long partnership with Tesoro. In this economic time, they are studying budgets and revisiting priorities. The Iron Dog fell to a different priority level this year," said Laura Bedard, Iron Dog Executive Director. The Iron Dog is scheduled to begin February 21, 2010, and it is a grueling 2,000 mile snowmobile race in Alaska.
"We're going to put on a great race. Our job is to continue the tradition of holding the World's Longest, Toughest Snowmobile Race. Entering into its 27th year this year, we know that the event speaks for itself, and this change in sponsorship allows for fresh new supporters," Bedard said.
