Re: 8th Annual Trucks-R-Us Pro Sled Shootout Inside Scoop

I'll contact him.  I think I may have talked with him a few years ago regarding car stuff.  Yeah, maybe there's some cross promotion opportunities for next year?  I'm just getting into sled racing, so I didn't know about this race until recently.  Thanks again.

Thanks to Dave Dunnigan for supporting ESTA again, Dave is the Godfather of sled racing & its pretty neat that he still supports ESTA as busy as he & Jason are with AMA PRO bike racing & their new Outlaw sled

Rob, No problem promoting the Top Gun Shootout at the Trucks-R-Us Pro Sled Shootout.. Make sure that Gary, our announcer has the info too.

Ron, I have a few flyers left. I can mail them to you.

Ron, I will run the ATV class between the 2 Street classes this week. Should give everybody time.

Vince, I am not opposed to buy backs. I have started a poll to see what other racers think about it. To the poll

Everybody, T-shirts go to print on Monday. If you want to get your name on the shirts we need to know by Friday July 3rd.

Everybody, If you're going to be in town for the Top Gun Shootout at the NYS Fairgrounds, stick around. We have a Nitro Harley show including Mike Romine, Derrick Nelson, Chris Streeter, Jim Fagan, and more. Also $1000.00 to win Street Bike. Sunday July 19th.

Sponsors, If you haven't mailed your check, please do so today. The prize money for the Trucks-R-Us Pro Sled Shootout is paid out in cash. Thanks

If you have questions please contact me. Vern@estadrags.com

Re: 8th Annual Trucks-R-Us Pro Sled Shootout Inside Scoop

I did a big post on rules last night & don't see it. So here's a little post NO TRACTION CONTROL ( I'm calling it the One Stop rule, the device must be off the sled not just unhooked) Pro Stk will be at 625 lbs instead of 650 to make them more competitive when they bump up to the All Motor & Power Adder classes otherwise the rules are same as NSA & NSDRA. All safety rules apply, especially full clutch covers on mod sleds. I've had a few complaints about Vince & the Big Moose ZI-R turbo ( he's legal with a Hi Jacker & pipe as long as he keeps the stock turbo, they have run 9.60 @ NYIR so lets tune up the 1000 2 strokes & get them.

thanks, Rich Daly

Re: 8th Annual Trucks-R-Us Pro Sled Shootout Inside Scoop

ya , the traction control rule is a bit vague,   perhaps rich can be a bit more elaberate...lol   their must be something being used he feels can be removed ,  all the turbo's have the digital ign. that is capable of controlling timming here there and every where ,  wich is what some use for traction control , so , how do you remove your ignition system/main computor ??   ....rich ?  you been snif'n nano gas?  lol   what exactly are you refering to as a traction control device ?  hate to ask you this after a 26hour day , buttt, your 1st rule post must have been deleted because it was in uni-bomber language...lol   so have a cup of green tea 1st...Big Smile

Are you saying with all that hp that you have you can't tame it with clutching and gearing and still be competative without traction control?  Not to mention are you running an oem tunnel or one of your own?
I banned wak pak and swoyer racing from the ollc

Re: 8th Annual Trucks-R-Us Pro Sled Shootout Inside Scoop

its ,  open anything goes out-law   ,  if deemed safe ,   what about that doesnt rich understand ?  and why throw it in out of know where ?   who called rich and convinced him to throw this rule in ?  timming reduction is traction control ,  progressive 2o is traction control ,  rich , guess you got to take it off the twin 2o ????      i got a gut feeling who brought this up ,  but i wont go there ,  but lets make it rite and keep out law open power adder ,  anything thats safe goes. !  dont cater to certain racers and cherry pick new rules.   sorry rich ,  this isnt right !   doc , msd , dsm , abs , this class is anything goes, Idea

Rich

These guys are right, guys have used  traction control for years at this race. Why the rule change? Open means open.
