Re: Roll call Syracuse Nationals July 17 & 18 Schedule

Not sure why that happened. Maybe if you/they had a trailer with living quarters or a toter-home they didn't notice when you checked in??  They were mainly looking for RV's and campers.  Again, racing is new to our staff, so they're not used to seeing race haulers etc.   I'm sure we got charged for them though.  A fair employee goes around the whole fairgrounds and counts all campers/trailers/haulers etc. each morning....and he takes his job very seriously.

COSDRA:

How many times do I have to tell everyone how big this show is for the sport of Snowmobile Drag racing. I Don't live on Am Snow.Lots of stuff behind the scenes being worked on. Plus my Construction Company is very busy.

See you all in Syracuse

Kris Bedard

So does this mean we will be payed what's owed to us?

Anyone remember what happened to a certain race in Michigan when most of the racers boycotted it one year? The only way this sport is going to grow is if you guys send a message.

Good luck

I have a ton of small promo cards for the races.  If anyone is interested in putting them at their local dealership/business etc.  I will UPS them to you.

Send me an email (rob@rightcoastcars.com) or call my office 800-753-3978.

 Thanks, Rob

Joe I sure hope you get what is owed to you and more.

Issues with Kris? Got a race or promoter that can get this type of exporsure for the racers please bring forward.

All this stuff can only hurt a already hurting sport.

We all have had bad experiences in life we deal with grow from and move on. From the post by the promotor it is obvious he is pumped and so are a lot of racers

Come on out and see us we are all not bad. You know you miss racing with us.I miss your imput in person. Learned a lot from you, Howard and your crew chief. Best of luck and hope to see you racing again.

Re: Roll call Syracuse Nationals July 17 & 18 Schedule

Sorry if I wasn't clear before.  Hope this helps.

Admission into fairgrounds "Pit Passes":

Kids 5 & Under FREE

Kids 6 - 12  - $15

Adults 13 & over - $30

These are weekend passes, and entitles you to full access to the entire car show.  It also includes all the extra activities we provide to the car show people. (movie night, fireworks, live music, mall shuttle etc)  Everyone entering the fairgrounds must purchase a weekend pass.

Camping:

$30 per night (three night minimum) This is the same policy as the show car owners.

Includes campers, trailers w/ living quarters, toter-homes etc.  NY State does not allow tent camping of any kind.  We do have a limited amount of water and electricity hook up sites (500). If those sites get sold out (they usually do) "dry" or "self contained" camping is available as well.  Either in your pit spaces or in a campsite.  We have a great Camping Kick-Off Party Thursday night (infield of race track) with live music and a family movie under the stars.  Come early and enjoy the car show!

Racing fees:

Racing registration fees and payouts will be handled by COSDRA at the race track.  Please refer any questions to them.

Important Note: Everyone must enter GATE 7 and stop at the white registration building just inside the gate.  There are lots of signs so you can't miss it.

I hope this clears things up.  We are really looking forward to having everyone from the snowmobile racing community at the Syracuse Nationals.  Our goal is to turn this into a primier event in the grass drag curcuit, and at the same time make it an enjoyable event for racers, family and friends.

I know a lot of car guys are excited to see you guys run!  After talking to car guys about the races, a lot of car owners ride sleds after they park their cars for the winter.  These guys are all about speed and horsepower too.  Get ready for a lot of new fans......

Please call the office if you have any additional questions- 800-753-3978 (Mon-Fri 9-6 & Sat 9-3 EST) or email me at rob@rightcoastcars.com

Re: Roll call Syracuse Nationals July 17 & 18 Schedule

Rob.......quick car show question.   Do you guys ever have any intention of opening up the entries to cars newer than 1980? Just curious as I know you guys have been doing this for quite awhile and the cutoff hasn't ever changed and there are cars almost 30 years old out there that aren't eligible, my 86 Corvette included. Love the car show anyway, and last year when my dad won a Designers Dozen award for his small block powered Ford 9N tractor was a great moment for us. Thanks!

I recall that being the same.  Don't remember paying anything except the 100 reg fee.

Yeah I remember the tractor that won.  Good stuff.

We've kicked around doing another car show just for 1980 and newer cars.  We'll look at it again when the economy turns around for the auto industry a little.

Thanks, Rob

Re: Roll call Syracuse Nationals July 17 & 18 Schedule

I'm not sure about last year.  I wasn't heavily involved with the races.  We decided to run last minute and the registration process wasn't nailed down properly, so it may have happened.  We're going to go with what I posted earlier for this year.  If I need to adjust for next year, we will.

thanks, Rob

George, you KNOW I don't have a problem with you. There are a lot of great people in the organization.

When a leader of a sanctioning body comes on a public forum & gives me a label,  I need to do my best at perfecting it.

When someone who has no idea of everything that has happened starts calling me names, it just adds fuel to the fire.

Have a great summer.
