Mike-
If you are reading this, be sure your ski sides are BELOW 1.25" The beams are set at 1.5"
Not sure if the track is crowned, but that MAY effect marginal heights.

thats low ! i cant get the stubborn goof nut to even put scotch tape on his ski , i had a problem and so did heath the 1st week out , most ski's have a 1" gap under the side rail , any lift what so ever and your bulbing , the tape and some suspension adj. fixed both mine and heath's , thing with mikes is , its acts just the opposite sometimes , he was deep stageing to get a lite , so the thing was acting long on roll out , i looked under it and was puzzled how it was doing it , he had plenty of clearence , then he goes shallow normal stage , has to leave between the 2nd and third amber , has a couple decent lites , 1st round when we follow'd s-pro , it came up out and gave him a .350 lite...lol tape along the bottom would probably get him pat the beams at least , or maybe some over his eyes...lol he reads this ! then bit - ches at me sunday..lol

Glare & reflection may be another killer??
Sun comes over the tower.
Say the Swamp Monster is in Tower. Mr Clean in Spectator. Sun reflects off Mr Cleans ultra polished mirror sled (I am SOOOO envious of how clean that is!) reflects off Swampies polished ski to the beam.
Is it possible? Wierder stuff has happened.
I used to scotchbrite the wahl ski to eliminate glare.

Yeah, I saw that. The big trailer dudes like Caprara (he has one) Warren (blownElcamino) Dote, etc. or any motorhome would benefit from that. Not a 5th wheel, just tounge jack guys. Maybe Mus?

You guys use tape along the whole bottom part of the ski, to make it closer to the ground? I have had issues with my lights BIG time. I have tried to make my suspension as stiff as I can. I'm a big dude, and it does lift coming of the line. When it spins and doesn't lift i don't red light. Do you use silver tape, black tape? Thanks.

yup , stiff rear skid and , color doesnt matter , duct tape scraping the ground the length of one ski gets you out of the beam...........

lpc , all different kinds of skis out there , some designed without any thought of beams or roll out , my wheels have actualy been repositioned , and my rear skis cut off for when i used them on the pol, and then there are alot of us HEAVY'R drivers who tend to squat and lift knowmatter what skid , i remember when vinny cerio had me run instead of jeff a few years back , i thought i was going over backward...lol you skinny dudes got it easy..lol tape is consistancy insurance , no its not pretty, if the tape dont work , move up on the seat for the launch.....actualy brought a removed ski up on the line yars ago , during a break , vern cam over , yes , their is a crown , at least in the spec....tape is legal and brings the ski to the ground like a tire , no gaps , beams were designed for tires and contact. .....and duct tape is even legal on a 200mph nascar...
