If there is anyone out there would like to give there 2 cents please do I will have my scheadule up asap as soon as the contract comes back, I will make changes based on feedback, change is good so i will work with everyone to have some good races

Im not looking to get rich I make my own money my own way, I want racers to leave my events with a smile on there face and like to shake everyones hand I might have to limit my drags to the first 200 entries (parking) we will see also the 2 drags will be at night under the lights

1000 feet is too far. Take a look at the toggenburg post alot of the guys dont want to go 900 feet and most of the hilldrags are around 600 feet. The mod guy's have alot of money in motor's. Long distance will wreck havoc on motor's. As far as payback pay the same % to everyone across the board it makes it fair to all. Then you just post % payback and no will get confused. Also dont forget a small fee at the gate for the spectators to help pay for your costs. THE MORE SIMPLE YOU CAN KEEP THINGS THE BETTER FOR EVEYONE. As for the rules and teck do the same as everyone else most racer's spend enough time wrenching as it is  not having to change stuff every week because each race promoter has a different set of hill drag rules. please get a hold of dave from blackjack and jerry from toggenburg and get some inside scoop from the guys that have been running the hilldrag races for a few years. Thats just my two cents. good luck Cool

I DONT GET ANY OF THE DOOR MONEY SKI CENTER GETS 100%

I should have said up to a 1000 feet sorry my mistake i like to keep it at 660 to be quite honest then everyone knows the drags are 660 for gearing jetting etc,

I had acouple e-mails about unstudded paddle tracks

thinking unstudded class improved or king of the mountain the hillclimb to the top

is 1200 feet 6 steepest hill this side of mississippi should be intresting (better get some catch nets)

thanks for all the feed back

Why do you guys have to make everything built around a grass or ice drag sled.  I am sick of short run let there be some fun for those who like to build long runners.  Sleds can be built to hold wide open for a long period of time so build it and let em eat!  If you can then stay with the grass or ice and leave the hills for those with the brass ones.Big Smile

If ski center gets 100% of gate fee and racers get100% of entry fee what does the guy putting on the race get for putting up with all of our aggravation. Come on guys lets try to be fair about this nobody likes to donate thier time for nothing and it takes alot of time to do it right.before you know it their tired of it and no more races and we need all the races we can get.

1000 feet would be GREAT!!!!

1500/2000 feet for the longer runs would be even better. 500 feet is fine for grass, but let's have some good, LONG hilldrags/hillclimbs. If a sled can't run 1000 feet or more ON SNOW, what the hEll good is it?

Come-on Matt...your races were a bunch longer than 500 feet. Time to Man up, and leave the short *** behind!

I guess we need to define what we are doing ???? Are we doing hill drags or are we doing hillclimbs. two very different styles of racing. Cool ill stick with the hilldrags that have been getting real popular in the past few years.

Excellent point.  Shows how some raecers don't want to donate thier time to go to anevent and have some fun unless they have a chance to get paid with a large amount of money.  Kind of like the pot calling the  kettle black to me.

Hilldrags started out and got popular around the syracuse area by togg and grew from there.  They have alwats been between 900'-1000'.  Just like grass drags are 500' and ice drags are 660'  and asphalt is      1/8-1/4 mile So were does this drag thing say it has to be short. I say put your man pants on and deal with it.

Re: Hill Climb & Hill Drag Racers Please Read

so are we talking about 1 sled at a time, timed runs? To be honest, I'm not too interested in cartwheeling my sleds down a mountain.

If you're a snocross guy, why not set up some hillcross races? It would create a different style of race and you wouldn't be competing with the hill drags as much. the last thing we need is to split up the racers between 2 or 3 different venues. XX % payback doesn't mean a whole lot when theres 3 sleds in a class.

Play some politics and get it to be a qualifier for the Jackson Hole event and we'll be there!

SNOPRO Sorry to hear that you dont like OUR new format. We were thinking about reducing our format from 26 classes to 2. 1st class unlimited CCs-start at the top of the hill-hit the kill switch - get off the sled and give it a shove down the hill-The sled that ends up upside down ,closest to the lodge WINS!!!!!

2nd class- Same rules as the 1st Except rider must remain on sled, still end up upside down closest to the lodge -and bonus points will be awarded for taking out spectators-10 points for drunk spectators-20 points for sober ones(their harder to hit!!!!)     Let me know what you guys think so I can make the appropriate changes to the rules! Speeking of the rules ,just wanted to let you guys and girls that the rules have been done for MONTHS but not confirmed by I,S,R. I dont think its fair to give you guys info that is not CONFIRMED. One word change in the final draft could change alot of things for guys that are trying to build sleds!!!!!! I sincerely appologize for the delay in getting the info out to you guys but as I said from the begining as soon as I know you will know.If you have specific questions I may be able to answer them on the phone not on the internet!! Well dave, with my hood being so smooth due to the lack of headlight openings, it may slide down a hill pretty quick.........that might be a race i can win
