New people get scared away by racers that put their kids on HayDays winning sleds that they buy and run trail-stock!

I'll second that.

They also get scared by promoters who put their kids on sleds & let them run wherever they want to. Especially when it's more power than they can handle.

The sport will gain respect with respectable promoters & sponsors who don't talk out of the side of their mouth.

Is that so? Please, tell us more......this is interesting to me & I'm sure others would like to hear more. Make sure you get your facts straight. I did see a kid on a Orange 440 Arctic Cat that PLACED at Haydays in amateur stock get BEAT by a girl on a Yamaha at Holley......Is that what you are talking about?

So tell us Kevin & Graham, is your idea of "driver development" putting a 100 lb. 13 year old kid on a Pro Stock 1000 & sending them down the track?

The sport will gain respect with respectable promoters & sponsors who don't talk out of the side of their mouth.

Re: What will it take to get you to come grass racing?

the reason we dont run the grass is its dirty ,the bracket thing is fun because you can race a ps 1000 angainst a 600 imp to a dragster , we have no grass events that are close , all our buddies are doing the asphalt now , theres alot less arguing with bracket vs heads up and the speeds are much higher.the list goes on but one thing that asphalt will never take away from grass is theres nothing like the arm strtching launch of a sled full of chisles leaving at 5000 plus rpm's.
