if you look at the break out times, you can see that run was set all the way down the track,
so unless that bird was flying just infront of us, all the way down the track,
at the exact height required to set off all those timers. you'll have to think of a better explanation.
i talked to dan, it was the nitrious street car brawls that we raced at, not the real street drags. (sorry my bad)
the event was supposed to happen on sat, but was rescheduled to sun due to bad weather.
2 percent is what was decided for a snowmobile record. but as far as being an official record,
i went to the am snow shoot out and set a new mph world record, and it was not even mentioned,
so forgive me if i don,t care if somethings not considered official.
we initially broke the 8.22 record no less tha 30 times before we went to amsnow to officially take it. when we
ran the 7.97 run at 170 mph, that was 4 years ago. everyone said the only reason we were that fast
was because we sprayed it the entire run with nos, instead of just using it to spool the turbo, the next year
we built a sled to run nitrious and turbo the entire 1/4 mile and were told 2 weeks before the race we couldn't
use 2 power adders because we were too fast allready and people were bitching that they wouldn't come to race
if we were allowed to run both nos and turbo, totally screwing up our plans to put the record in the mid 7's
, we talked to jamie and it was decided that we could use 2 power adders if we weighd 750 lbs, we went to the
race at 745 lbs, no nos at all, and still won running a 8.05 at 159 mph having to be in and out of the throttle the
whole way down the track because of no traction. after that i just lost alot of drive to really work hard at it. now
that others have caught up...... i'm back to lay it down! getting back to official, both nhra and ihra recognize et
and mph records in the 1/4 mile, we ran 178.5 at the amsnow shoot out this year and didn't recieve any recognition
for it, (i feel some politics were involved) the et was not there yet because we only had a week
of testing on the sled. but if you look at the 7.64 run you will see the sled hooking and spinning from about 200 ft to 900 ft,
for those bitchin, go ahead and consider it unofficial if you want, i really don't care, i'm done with politics.
i think you should be more worried about the 7.5 its going to lay down when it has good traction.
the run was made around 6:oo pm in a 50 degree temperature. jeff
