  like you said roy join em  half you guys all get on here and p**s and moan out getting beat by a twin when you are only talking about a select few people yeah lets change all the weight rules because marchbank and d&d,s sleds go fast what else is new...put all of them  back on a tripple and the people getting beat now would still be getting beat .Look at goldenchild,g. coombs,w. joy, johnny davis, jerry kacz dont here anybody on her crying about it when they win on there tripples some of the fastest around. you know why because of the effort.   YOU ONLY GET OUT OF IT WHAT YOU PUT IN BOYS AND GIRLS...and its not all about the money.. and yes so there is no misunderstanding i race a twin  ....so yeah lets change things so the people who put in less effort can compete...LMAO  because in the end the results will be the same the ones who never stop looking for 1 more hp or 5 more thousands of a sec. are still going to dominate...not to mention most finals are still won and lost at the tree..i dont even know why i got so caught up in this post i mostly just go on here and read i guess i just wanted to be a hero with a keyboard...lol  see you at the track with my super,duper ultra lightweight twin ...Jason Lounsbury

The whole point of my thread was to find out what twins are making now days for HP. It seems the twins are making approx. 10 HP of what a triple makes, so the 75 lbs weight break is obviously too much. Sure, A few years ago this twin weight break was needed, but now a few are coming on strong, So do you REALLY think everyone else is that far behind on figuring out how to get HP out of a twin? I don't think so. Can the triple guys get more HP out of their sleds? If they could , they would have by now. And "IF" you could squeeze out 10 HP more BIG DEAL your still not going to over come 75lbs. Some say build a twin, Why? What about all the money and time people have invested into their triples? Could we sell them? No, not if there not competitive anymore. So the whole point is to get weighs adjusted so we can all race together fairly. There are a lot of guys not entering races lately because they simply can't beat the 550 lbs twins anymore and what ever the weights are in Improved stock. I agree that I would be on the other side of the fence too if I owned a twin. If my pro 700 makes 200 HP I have to give a 190 HP twin a 75lbs weight break? I would take that deal ANY day! I guess I understand why the twin guys get so upset. 10-15 HP = 75 lbs? The math just don't add up today, A few years back yes, But not anymore.

You all better think hard about this.. If it has come to the point that your losing racers, its going to affect the twins as well.... Don't repeat the same mistakes that have killed other classes.MMR

Craig, It's already to that point, A lot of 600 & 700 triples either did not bring their sleds or did not unload them at Onsted or Hastings. The twins will soon be racing each other. I know, Who cares about the small sleds.

LMAO.. this is so stupid when I see this.. who other then Marchbank is running  a new improver/prostock?? Even D&D is not running a new chassis... come on.. they don't make F7's and they don't make the rev anymore so you can give that a rest.. The other thing is test test test... from the twin guys.. do you really think that all guys that run triples don't test?... shake your head.. and the last stupid thing is.. the big names are the only guys wining?... well if them same guys are smoking their old records with a twin.. how the hell do you think we are going to get the triples to run any quicker then when they ran them??...lol..  I know people are saying do you hear any of so and so complaining.. no not yet but when 1st,2nd,3rd become set by twins in 800 prostock on a regular bassis they will start.

You know it will be funny when they do change the weight rule, (and they will or you will see a decrease in numbers all the time)..to hear the triple guys telling the twin guys...test...test...test...   lol..

This is stupid i agree and someday they may have to change weights but its not today or even within the next year. My point was and i will use your sled as an example it was craigs you say it wont run faster than 5.4 and 5.5 when he had it i bet it ran 5.0's at one time the man does make the machine not the other way around. so at this point  its not twins beating tripples or tripples beating twins its one guy beating another.. and some people are still making more power out of tripples.. its all about the knowledge of the person tuning/testing it. I will use myself as an example also i have a couple friends that have similar sled to my own and  all were built at the same place dyno'd at the same place mine did end up making the most power but did i ever beat them this year  No and why Knowledge and time with the machine .. i will get there no matter the time it takes. But i dont think alot of people understand what it takes to compete at the pro level level no matter what type of buggy you ride..also if they ever do change weight it should be taken off the tripple not added to the twin...

 I still have not heard what pro 600, 800 or 1000 is making? Only report is pro 700 @190 HP. Anyone have any more HP numbers?

I agree with you 100%, Just take #00 out of the equation, there are still more then one twin that runs 5.1's consistantly, yours included ;o)... I don't think they should add any weight to the twins, you guys have done your testing so leave it as is. just let the triples lighted up a little. Also just for the record I did search a ton of races that my sled had done in the past and it was not a consistant 5.0 or even 5.1's for that matter. I have ran 5.2's but not often. I don't want anyone to misread what I'm trying to say, I will race no matter what the deal is..lol... But I do hear a LOT of guys ask who's going to be at that race?.. and they wil not even bother loading up and driving 800km when they know  3 or 4 twins are going to that race. Most of the twin guys seem very confident in their sled because they have countless hours in testing, it should be no issue to let the triples lighten up say 25lbs to see it even makes a difference at all.

On D&D's dyno the twin pro stock 1000's are in the 240's and the triples are in the 270's.

550lbs/240hp=2.29lbs/hp for the twins

Most if not all at 250 h.p. so that would be 2.5  do the math on that :o)

So maybe we need a weight break for the guys with outdated motors, so they can run with the guys that have put the time and mony into making the power to win races.
