Wanna go west! Suggestions?

Me & a group a friends are looking into a  snowmobile trip out west.  I'm looking for suggestions.  Some place that has good riding, lodging, rentals, & maybe a little night life. Anyone know of any good places?  I was thinking west yellowstone?

Thanks!

West Yellowstone would be a good choice. The riding there is decent but you have to ride the trails for a while before getting into the mountains. Also bear in mind there is a speed limit on the trails in Montana. Another option would be Togwotee Lodge Wyoming. There isnt a whole lot of night life at the lodge itself but the lodge does offer a shuttle service to Jackson Hole on some evenings. Here is a link to an article with a bunch of info on Togwotee http://www.amsnow.com/sno/default.aspx?c=a&id=4977 Other options are Alpine Wyoming or Island Park, ID

Re: Wanna go west! Suggestions?

So many great places to go in the West. Here is a few suggestions:

Star Valley, WY.  Just south of Jackson Hole - The trail head is just east of the market in Alpine.  Ride 29 mi. into the Box Y Lodge. Great cabins and full service meals. Over 600 miles of trails.  Jump off the trail in a multitude of places for powder bustin and boondocking. They have an elk refuge up there and beautiful mountain passes. You will be riding at 9000 ft. Great for all riding levels. If you need to rent, go to M&M Motorsports in Alpine. www.boxylodge.com.

Halfway, OR.  Just northeast of Baker City in eastern Oregon. Great little town. Cute and rustic. I like the Cornucopia Lodge. Bill and Peg take real good care of you.  Hundreds of miles of trails and good "play areas".  This is a good family sledding destination. The kids can ride their 120's around the lodge while you enjoy a "toddy" on the deck. www.cornucopialodge.com.

McCall, ID.  Central Idaho.  This is for the posh sledding experience. Night life and great places to eat. Plus, lot's of places to stay.  I like the Bear Creek Lodge. Real nice place! 540 mi of trails and GREAT POWDER!  www.bearcreeklodgemccall.com

One more suggestion:

Check out Seeley Lake, Montana. The Double Arrow Resort.  Ride right from your cabin and lot's of fun things to do in the area.  You ride between the Mission Mountain and the Swan Range.  Visit Kurt's Polaris in the area for maps and riding info. www.doublearrowresort.com.
