Re: TOGGENBURG: 2010 HILLCLIMB/DRAG SCHEDULE

LEAVE IT THE WAY IT HAS BEEN.  DON'T MAKE IT A MONEY MANS EVENT. Trail guys need to have some fun and with the extra distance it makes the driver count as well as hp!  That is in refrence to the lenth of the track as far as the money thing-  In my opinon for the amount of money to be won I would rather see that money go to the club for better trails. All entry fees go to the club and whatever sponsors buck up can go for pay out.

Re: TOGGENBURG: 2010 HILLCLIMB/DRAG SCHEDULE

Make 1 lane 900' and the other 600' that should settle it.

as for the "driver's hill" i'm not sure it takes much more skill to hold the throttle for an extra 300 ft. For those who want a driver's hill, maybe Jerry could add a few single & double jumps & we'll see who has the biggest balls in their shorts & not under the hood.....:)

Modsled:

100% payback or not running. follow ISR rules...

Charge a $5 admin fee and a $5 gate fee for all that enter event..that will go to the Trail riders club/togg.

Ya and at the grass drags the gate fees totals about $200 bucks thats not a lot of money to offer the volunteers who spend there time for free.

Re: TOGGENBURG: 2010 HILLCLIMB/DRAG SCHEDULE

$200???? That's not too good of a turnout is it. Let's face it. No one is going to get rich if they win first place but it is nice to get some money back for your efforts. It takes the curse off of the gas costs or what ever the case maybe.

As far as the distance, I say leave the track @ 900'.

Keep the 900' track, add 1 or 2 jumps which help the trail guys.

Need some payback,  don't be afraid to charge at the gate.

Re: TOGGENBURG: 2010 HILLCLIMB/DRAG SCHEDULE

i say leave it at 900' and skip the jumps..to many would get hurt and this is uphill snow drags, not hillcross or snox.I know everyone is a "jump" master but think about it, big difference from hittin a bump and gettn air and hitting a real jump at 70mph or more..besides i don't want my driver tweaking her bod on the hill

climb for the cure event be sure everyone comes..is an excellent event for a great cause that anyone should feel good about donating to.....Yes

Re: TOGGENBURG: 2010 HILLCLIMB/DRAG SCHEDULE

well as much as i enjoyed the races at togg last year i would love to see the track be a little shorter....not to argue with anybody but as much as the big dogs would like the track shorter i must agree. u have to also take into account the privaters and the little guys who are out there for fun. every race we run is 500-600 ft theres no reason to have a 900 ft track thats a little crazy. Also as well as the big boys in the pro mod class complaining about the track being to much for there motors. lets keep in mind the people running 440s 500s and such thats a little bit excessive for those motors as well figure a 440 is already topped out at the 300 ft. but thats just my opinion im gunna go either way had a great time i would just like to see the track a bit shorter...cant wait to see u boys thereBeer

Re: TOGGENBURG: 2010 HILLCLIMB/DRAG SCHEDULE

don't worry, it'll never happen anyways, If insurance companies don't even want us to warm a sled on a shielded stand than I doubt they'd be into big air. plus some dummy would try to do the tripple on some nos / turbo 800lb sled and break his spine and that would be the end of racing as we know it lol

I just miss it but then again I'm a washed up sno-x-er

Re: TOGGENBURG: 2010 HILLCLIMB/DRAG SCHEDULE

NO "big boy" in ProMod complaining about 900ft Here. Big Smile

Some of us actually like it that way (900ft).  Our HP and sleds have been built to handle it.

Yeah, jumps WOULD be kewl, but Not gonna happen.  I'd have to go on a diet & run my own stuff then! Pizza Beer

- Swoyer ......Another washed up Snocross racer!  Party!!!

btw
TeamRamRod???  Is that another WakPak alias????  LOL Confused

Re: TOGGENBURG: 2010 HILLCLIMB/DRAG SCHEDULE

i think u should move it down to 600 maybe for just the lower classes and maybe leave it alone for the mods if that is what they want i ran a 440 there last year and all the races we ran last year were 500 to 600 foot and we ran good and also ran nopt to hot and we came to tog and ran the 900 foot and it was way to much for the littell sled it was way to much on the motor and on the sled so if u go to 600 for for the lower cc classes it would benifit us and leave it long for the mods to pull the big mph and the good racing again but all in all 900 feet is to long for the small sleds but the long track helps the bigger cc sleds and i also think a pay out would be a big benifit to get more people and a littel more time between runs would not hurt either
