grass drag?..which track?

just wondering if anyone has ran a speed track vs a grass drag track on timers?...and if so, what have you found....I currently have a .5 speed track on my pro700 but just picked up a .87(?) grass drag track that I plan on installing over the winter for next years grass drags.....I'm thinking it may be a touch heavier but on the flip side, I feel it should hook better...I plan to run 192(maybe 240) 1.080 chisels...on my speed track, I have been running 240 1.080 chisels......any thoughts/experiences/results with the swap..

Thanks,

             Dan

With a good hard clay starting line I would say the speed track is better. The chiesels do the work and the extra lug is just extra weight.

Softer track maybe the extra lug would be better.

Just my 2 cents, never ran a grass track.

On a grass starting line, its hard to beat a grass claw track...Used them a few times, very suprising how good they hook.

Are you legal with 1.080 studs on a .500 lug track?  Those grass tracks hook really well and you can probably get away with less studs.

I'll keep my house, guns, and cash. You can have the "change" Mr. Obama
