Maybe it's because some of my fondest memories of my early days snowmobiling were riding with my dad on poker runs to raise money for clubs, or working the grill with my grandpa at Winter Carnivals selling hot dogs to help our trail fund. But I appreciate any person or company willing to give back to the clubs. Without the clubs and associations none of us would have any more than our backyards to ride in. Boss racing has signed another multi-year deal with Ski-Doo, according to Boss Racing's Garry Querel. The Ski-Doo Boss Racing team had a strong 09-10 season, with with some of the fastest qualifying times on the pro circuit and championship wins at both the Grand Prix de Valcourt and Eagle River World Championships. Jayme Cheney a 90's pro rider, joins the team as Crew Chief this season and fast rising Derek Ellis, will ride for the team in the Semi-Pro ranks as part of BOSS's mission

PONDERAY, IDAHO - Another new dirt bike conversion kit has just hit the market. This one, Mountain Horse, comes from Timbersled Products (Idaho) and is built more specifically for the mountains. Like other conversions, a ski-adapter kit replaces the wheel up front, but in back the system much more resembles a typical snowmobile. International Snowmobile Manufacturers Association announced at the International Snowmobile Congress held in Iowa in June 2010 that the ISMA Grant Program for excellence will continue. ISMA members are Arctic Cat, BRP, Polaris and Yamaha. This is the 10th year of the ISMA grant program, which has supported hundreds of projects, serving snowmobilers throughout North America. Six members of Polaris' Snowmobile Test Team recently returned from a 14-day trip to test eight off-the-line 800 Rush Pro-R and 800 Pro-RMK in the rugged Andes. "We've ridden in places all over the world, and what we found in the Andes Mountains of South America were areas where no snowmobile has ever been before," said Polaris' Snowmobile Test Team in a press release. Nearing Arctic Cat's 50th Anniversary in 2012, the company has reached a special milestone of building its 1,000,000 snowmobile.
