Wow!!! Very cool, especially with the flames. Best thing is it started off as a stock framed sled.
First off Bill there is nothing in my story that changed one iota and if you care to elaborate and show me where it has please do so or stay out of this it has nothing to do with you unless you want it to. Your choice and I commend you on feeling you have to come to the rescue of your friend but this isnt between you and I. ptm
First off Stan, you involved me in this at Martin. You kept asking me what happened with my crank on Jim's dyno and why he
Never said to you I blamed Jim for anything just asked as I did here what would happen IF. I told you about how he told me he broke one crank on his dyno yours and he paid to fix it. Your reply no he didnt. Am I lieing about that BIll??? I never pursued things further with you because we are friends and I told everyone that exact same thing just ask them. . For the record Bill I have no problems with you at all and we are friends just try and understand where
Bill as for winning the arguement I guess I can say the same thing. Because Jim said it was bent it was right. I can say Carey measured my crank after each weekend with an instrument but thats not good enough cause he is not Jim. He thought lots of things nothing ever substantiated just assumptions against my facts. You Jim or anyone else cannot tell me for fact my crank was out to start I can state for fact it was measured to be fine but I am the one lieing I
gus i am no expert but according to the story i read the crank was twisted severely out of phase and out of true. the make beleive owner had the crank checked before the beginning of the season for everything and was out of true and fixed and pins welded. as the story goes the sled ran and ran good before it came to the dyno shop, it performed well on the dyno for 7 or so runs, but after that one run it would not run again on 2 cylinders. was it the straps, was
We'll see if I can get it back together in time for this weekend. Is Cayuga running Saturdays or Sunday? I think Lancaster has one Saturday left and I may head there for some 1/8th mile tuning to make sure it is right. Can that 4 wheeler pull 2 sleds back at a time?
Looks like I'm legal right down to the bottle heater.
Stan, Epping is in New Hampshire. It's going to be a long ride, but it's the closest track to The Outdoor Shop and Dan would like to see his sled run in person for once. They only have bracket, I just figured you and I could time trial together and beat each other up. Not sure if I'm even going, will depend on weather. I know Cayuga has a big race left and it may be on the same weekend of the 18th, so if I don't go there, we can go to Cayuga nad have some fun. I haven't been there
Swap meet and manufacturers midway would be nice. I would love to be able to buy a, say nice Proline 128 skid for a Firecat. I think the only way to bring in a lot more fans is some match racing with Top Fuel or Pro Mod cars or some type of really fast cars or bikes. I know that's a lot of money, but you asked.
Cool video Stan. My motor is being repaired now and may be ready for Epping. Feel like heading east to duke it out for the N20 Firecat crown?
