We are trying to see how many Pro Stock sleds will come to Valdosta for the AMA race on March 6th, 7th, and 8th. We presently have eight , the rules would be the same as NSA and NSDRA as they are structured alike. The Outlaw sleds would be able to come to the test session, which is a week before, and a week after the AMA race. The weight I mentioned are for Outlaw class, which would be run at Martin Mich, and Norwalk Ohio. Sorry If I confused some. The test sessions are sponsored by SGMP (South Georgia
There would only be one class, at Valdosta, and there would only be one class at Norwalk and Martin. We have to do some thinking about how we go about this. If we could get a large amount of entries of pro stock sleds at Valdosta, and a field of 9 outlaw sleds at Martin. We could run the races at Martin and Norwalk with Outlaw sleds, and Pro Stock sleds at Valdosta. And we could possibly run both classes at the World Finals in Valdosta. As for 1500,s we could look at adding weight to anything over
Would like to ask a question of Asphalt racers. How many Pro Stock snowmobiles that are NSDRA and NSA legal would be interested in racing at Valdosta on March 6th 7th and 8th with the AMA. There is also testing the whole week before the race, and a week after the race. You would also be able to race at the World Finals in November. Dave Dunigan
There is a good possibilty this will happen. The NSA and NSDRA rules are pretty much the same, except the use of the pink, blue, and tan wire. This would have to be made the same for all those that attend. We accept NHRA and IHRA license. Dave Dunigan
Was nice to be there to watch you quys and gal, make four record passes. Wish things would have worked out better for the turn out. For those that couldn't make it down, AMA is having us back on March 6th 7th and 8th. we hope that they will have us at Martin Mi, and Norwalk Ohio, then to the World Finals in November. The track was good, the air was 1400', and they were fast. Dave Dunigan AMA was very impressed, they are doing an article on the sled and team.
My prayers go out to you and your family. Dave Dunigan
I believe leaded fuel was banned about five years ago in Canada. That is why NHRA pulled the National Event out of Canada. There are unleaded fuels available for turbo sleds, XXX is the first company to run side by side tests with unleaded fuels against leaded fuel, myself and Paul Austin were present for the dyno tests. Come to Valdosta and you will be able to voice your opinion, at our meeting on Saturday evening. There has already been one suggestion to allow one pneumatic tire per side for better handling. Hopefully we will receive one before the race. Hope to see you there! Dave Dunigan
To answer your question, NO. The discussion will center around next year. Dave Dunigan
The ban is already in the US, Nascar, IRL, AMA, NHRA, are all pushing unleaded fuel within two years. NOS is also on list to be banned in two years by the Global Warming commission. It is actually the first one on their list, Nitro Methane is also listed. There are a few fuels unleaded that have motor octane around 107, and research octane around 113. You really are not even allowed to have leaded gas in your trailer in Canada, even if you are just cutting thru Canada. The good news is Alcahol is
